What is an OLEV Grant?

The Government will contribute up to £500 towards Electric Charge Point Installation

OLEV stands for ‘Office for Low Emission Vehicles’ so it’s pretty self-explanatory. Essentially, it’s a government department dedicated specifically to motor vehicles that give off minimal emissions with the environment in the forefront of all their strategies. So, they can really help you out when it comes to installing your first homecharge point.

According to their website, OLEV is a team working to support the emerging market of ‘ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV). Their goal is to provide investments which will ensure the UK is leading the way in the global race for low emissions. In particular, the OLEV grant is useful to you as a customer of Auto Charge Point. This scheme is known as the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme and can contribute up to 75% of the installation cost for domestic charge points. For more information on the OLEV grant and the Homecharge Scheme, visit their website here.

If you have any electric plug-in vehicle, you’re good to go.

This is where we like to take control. Your charge point installation is included when you purchase from us. Fill out our Request a Fitting form and we’ll get in touch with organising a day for installation.

We like to think of charging electric cars to charging phones. Give it a top up throughout the day when necessary – at the supermarket or during work hours if and when you have access to a chargepoint. Then, let your car charge fully overnight when you get home.
